Researcher in the Thai–Chinese Trade and Investment Policy Development Project, Meets with ICBC (Thai) Public Company Limited Executives to Propel the Shino-Thai Trade Platform

On February 18, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Watchara Chiangkul, a researcher from the project “Developing New Trade and Investment Policy Models to Support and Promote Trade and Investment in the Thai–Chinese Economic Corridor,” met with executives of ICBC (Thai) Public Company Limited, a financial institution renowned for its expertise in the financial and investment markets.

During the meeting, Dr. Watchara presented the outcomes and progress of the research project, which aims to develop policies and strategies to promote trade and investment between Thailand and China. A highlight of the project is the development of the Shino-Thai Trade platform, a significant research outcome achieved this year.

The objectives of the meeting were to:

• Obtain expert advice and guidance from ICBC (Thai) Public Company Limited’s seasoned executives in the financial and investment sectors.
• Enhance collaboration and exchange knowledge to strengthen the Shino-Thai Trade platform, ensuring it meets the needs of entrepreneurs.
• Foster stronger coordination between the business and government sectors in the development of trade and investment policies between Thailand and China.

Dr. Watchara expressed confidence that this exchange of ideas will be a critical step toward elevating and advancing the Shino-Thai Trade platform, ultimately serving as a vital tool for linking and promoting sustainable trade between Thailand and China.
